US Airways Dividend Miles - Anyone get preferred card yet?

I'm traveling next week, and it would be handy to have my SP card. Anyone receive one yet? My last (first) one got sent to an old address, so I don't have one.

I haven't received mine yet. Where are you traveling? I think I've only used my gold card once (for access to an international lounge). Most likely, you probably won't need it since your status will be on your BP.

I got mind when I first acheived Sliver status, which was back in October. Will I receive another?

My Gold card says, "Valid thru 02/28/09." I'm assuming it will still be good until that date?

I have a mileage run to MUC in a few weeks, and of course I will try to visit the LH lounge there before I leave. I'm assuming those agents will let me in? The LH Senator lounge puts all the other lounges I've been inside to shame.

Just an aside, I have gotten into that lounge on arrival, to shower, but I was told in no uncertain terms on the LH board, that I should not have been permitted in. Depending on my mood, I may try it again when I arrive.

I got mine today. It did not have a different date than the one I received at the end of the summer. Any reason why they would send another one to me with the same date?

I've always been asked for my card for lounge access in FRA, even if my status is printed on my boarding pass (even LH flights).

I received my undeserved SP card today. It's been a while since I had a silver FF card so things may have changed everywhere, but this is the chintziest elite package I have ever received. One folded 8X10 sheet of paper and the card. I should be getting one from DL soon so I'll have something to compare to it, but odds are DL will trump US.

You all can have mine....I won't be needing it....

Just got my card yesterday. It was perfect timing, as I had just completed a series of emails with the US support team to get the Plat 800 number. I was told the cards would not be mailed until March 1st.

Totally agree...I got my CP envelope in the mail yesterday and it is a sad elite package. :td: to the preferred desk for sending this pitiful envelope out. Don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t expecting a leather bound portfolio, but this is a single sheet of copy paper with my card glued in the center. They also sent the new A&B Certificates and they are so small, I doubt I can write any comment if I wanted to send it.

I got mine today as well. IIRC, I think this year's "package" is even worse than last year's. I can see in a few years time US will resort to giving out the F cards the way you would register at a conference. On a day you're flying, just go up to a table where you'll have to show your ID and they will simply hand you your card and check your name off the list. :(

Or they will just do away with the cards completely and let elite customers figure out how to convince Star Alliance lounges that they are really Star Gold.

I know...this is an example of Bureaucracy at it's finest. It prints GOLD on the boarding pass (even when I checked in on United and flying United metal), yet the gate keeper at the Denver Airport still asked for it!

USPhilly's right - my current status is from Try Preferred. I did travel about 20k miles and 18 segments in January with 2 1/2 RTs (the return on the 3rd was in February).
