Jetblue won't have any issues making this route work. It think its becoming pretty obvious that the Carribean and Northeast-Florida routes are their bread and butter routes. Once this routes starts up, I would imagine that B6 will look to start BOS/MCO-MTY jetBlueNYFL Jan 29, 09, 10:34 am Finally! ^ sbm12 Jan 29, 09, 11:11 am Once this routes starts up, I would imagine that B6 will look to start BOS/MCO-MTY MTY?? Did you mean PTY? I'm not sure either of them really fit in the pattern of what jetBlue seems to be aiming for. JetBlueFA Jan 29, 09, 11:42 am Montego Bay is MBJ. N830MH Jan 29, 09, 11:55 am MTY?? Did you mean PTY? I'm not sure either of them really fit in the pattern of what jetBlue seems to be aiming for. Yes, this is mean is Panama City, Panama. sbm12 Jan 29, 09, 12:05 pm Yes, this is mean is Panama City, Panama.Or he means MTY, which is Monterrey, Mexico. I still don't think that either one really fits the B6 style. N830MH Jan 29, 09, 2:39 pm Is that B6 will becoming dailies JFK-MBJ and what about B6 will become year-round or seasonal? Seat13c Jan 29, 09, 2:45 pm Wow, I really caused us to go off course. I was thinking MBJ and MTY came out. Sorry for the confusion. 201flyer Jan 29, 09, 2:51 pm Finally! ^ I agree. Puerto Rico and the The Dominican Republic have long been successful for JetBlue from JFK, so I always assumed that Jamaica would be too. It seems a natural. There is a huge population centered in Brooklyn and Queens with family ties to Jamaica, plus New Yorkers love those Jamaican beaches. aaron1262 Jan 29, 09, 2:52 pm I agree. Or Orlando-Montego Bay on the E190? Air Jamaica's dropping 5 jets so they're only down to 9 now so Jamaica's ripe for the picking. Another great place to jet to! N830MH Jan 29, 09, 11:54 pm Anyone think B6 will add JFK-Kingston by year's end? Or Orlando-Montego Bay on the E190? Air Jamaica's dropping 5 jets so they're only down to 9 now so Jamaica's ripe for the picking. Another great place to jet to! I think B6 will considers service for MCO-MBJ. I think it will be perfect opportunity for JFK-KIN will operate on E90. I'm sure the loads will be very successful route for B6. This is under consideration for JFK-KIN due to limitation restrictoins. I'm sure this is better time where B6 will looking for possibility service from MCO-MBJ on operate A320 series but, not even E90. JerseyVics Jan 31, 09, 10:32 pm Sweet! N830MH Feb 4, 09, 7:29 pm Wasn't JetBlue going to offer Montego Bay for sale today? I don't see it, maybe they forgot. No, not yet. B6 is still wait for subject of government approval. It should have to be finalization from government approval sometimes in few weeks. sbm12 Feb 4, 09, 8:34 pm No, not yet. B6 is still wait for subject of government approval. It should have to be finalization from government approval sometimes in few weeks. They do not wait for government approval to sell seats. They sell them with the "pending government approval" fine print. I don't know when they are or were scheduled to start selling them, but they are not avoiding it now due to government approval issues. caphis Feb 4, 09, 10:57 pm Flights to Montego Bay went on sale today (Wednesday) as planned, and you can purchase them online. There seems to be a problem with the website right now--MBJ doesn't show on the main page at jetblue.com, but if you click "Book travel" (flights), you can use that form to select it. Currently, travel must originate in the US. Much like when BOG flights went on sale--hopefully that'll change soon. sbm12 May 21, 09, 10:24 am First flight is today. Also, jetBlue just announced a decent sale for the route if you want to be there during hurricane season - $129++ each way. Must book by May 29 and travel June - early September.
