US Airways Dividend Miles - an ironic twist of fate

Our T&E budgets have just been reduced big time and also my territory has changed so I now flying to LA every other week for appts. I must choose the lowest price airfare. Yep. I'm back to US. My hard earned DL plat status now means jack. I'm still going to use my UA (now only premier) so I guess that means star silver (do I even get zone 1 now?). Needless to say the flight are no more than an hour but I'm back to US (UA's phx-lax schedule isn't as generous as US's).
Oh well!! I wish I could click on the rolleyes icon but my BB won't let me so if someone could do it for me I'd be grateful lol

Also, FYI, US flights earn actual miles in Mileage Plus (500-mile minimum for flights on UA metal only for UA elites).

On the Delta board, there is a thread where they think DL is very close to US at the bottom. I just chuckled and posted that they are nowhere near! Long way to go......can you imagine the squawking if DL started charging for water, ripped out the IFE, reduced first class seats, served drinks in FC in plastic....

DL and US east (pre HP merger) were the first to cut glass and cutlery. DL's peeps raised hell. it was returned to the cabin.

HP's fate was set, post merger, when they lost their glassware and cutlery during the ghettofication to US east levels.

back to the OP, have you thought about a status match from DL plat to the US equivalent and just stop flying UA?

I'd fly WN, personally. Their fares are the same in this market as US...
