I just returned from a Clarion. My family stays at this one 3 or 4 times a year. We stay here because of the indoor pool. There is also a Hampton Inn that we could've stayed at that has a pool, but much smaller. We arrived last night only to find out that the pool was closed, because of annual maintenance. My kids were not happy. It was past cancellation time & I didn't feel like messing with seeing if the Hampton was available or not.
I understand that maintenance is necessary. They were painting the surface area. It wasn't like this was a maintenance issue that just popped up & needed to be fixed. They most likely have known for some time when they were going to do this. My opinion is they should have at a minimum posted the pool closure dates on the website. We definitely wouldn't have stayed their if we had known.
I hope I get a survey on this stay.
