Uh, I'm not sure how this relates to Travel Technology, so will understand if it is banished. Yet, it's too tech-specific for OMNI. C'est la vie-deo ;)

I am about to obtain another LCD flat-panel monitor, and do not know what to do with it. I already have dual LCDs for my computer, with no physical room to add a third.

The family has an old 19" CRT TV that we would like to replace.

Is there a TV tuner / audio system available that could drive the extra monitor?

We do not want it to be connected to the computer, so a USB TV tuner isn't the answer.

Thank you.

What are you trying to hook it up to (cable, cable box, dish, OTA) and what kind of inputs does it have?

I did a Google search before posting, but unsuccessfully. KVS used a simpler search string and hit the nail on the head. Thank you!

The signal source is cable.

The spare monitor is likely to have analog and/or DVI inputs, I don't know yet.

The likely best solution for only $50 (shipped): "Sabrent TV-LCDHR High Resolution 1680x1050 TV Tuner Box with Picture in Picture for LCD/CRT/TFT and Plasma Monitor/Projectors" from Amazon.

Another option would be to get something like Tivo and hook it up to the monitor.

If your monitor has a DVI/HDMI input, then any off the shelf HD/SD Tuner should be able to output to it.

I think.
