Their website is up and running, but the latest press releases are all from 2004...

We'll be in NOLA in March and would love to go there, if we can.

Yes, it is; I had dinner there last June.

I rarely recommend specific dishes because people's tastes vary so much, but...

if you do go and have never had it, you really should try the bread pudding souffle for dessert. Like nothing I have ever had elsewhere.

Yes... and it's totally redone inside and as great as ever.
Enjoy!

Had brunch there 2 Sundays ago. Please be aware that they do have a dress code, of which they will inform you when you call to make your reservation.

I had dinner there last January. It was a memorable evening but the food was not as good as I had expected. I did have the bread pudding souffle and it was good but I must admit I had expected something more. I guess I prefer the traditional bread pudding with more substance:)

Ms JG and I had dinner there last week with friends from Metairie. We all had low expectations because of our experiences over the last 10 years, and because we've heard plenty of reports like yours from our friends. But we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a really great meal - as good as those we used to get in the 80's - and the service was impeccable.

So hopefully that means the kitchen under Tory McPhail has regained it's rhythm. Or maybe we had too many Sazeracs. ;)

I had lunch there in June and it was fantastic! The soups, in particular, were a standout (I had a mini-sampler of three: turtle, plum/champagne, and something else which I can't remember now)

Hopefully the 25c martini thing is still going on as well. :)

Gumbo, usually. When we were there, it was turkey/sausage.

At my birthday lunch the day after Thanksgiving 2008 spouse and I drank 4 martinis for $1. My sons were shocked to learn that the 3 Abita root beers they drank were $13.50.
