Does anybody know what this is? I am reviewing a receipt from a rental last month out of DSM and noticed this on my bill. I did return the vehicle to FSD (this was planned) so not sure if it has something to do with that. I called customer service but was informed of a 19 minute wait time so I figured someone here might know and save me the time. Thanks!!
Sounds like intercity or one-way charge.

I have $100 fee on my Hertz receipt as well. I called customer service, they said that I have to call the place I rented from, I called the place (Hilton Hawaii Village, in Honolulu), they do not pick up the phone, the voicemail box is full. Does anyone know any other number I can call, some sort of VP of Customer Service, anything? I am getting a run around from Hertz, and it's been already 2 weeks since my rental.

Did you have a one-way rental? If so, it could be a charge for that. If not, did you try calling customer service back and speaking to a different agent? If you're still not satisfied, you could always call your credit card company and put the amount into dispute.

Thank you for suggestions. It was definitely not one-way. It was a same day rental, I took it out at 8am and returned it that night. I did call the customer service people second time (waited another 15-20min on the phone). After talking to some supervisor, I got a phone number for Rachel Lynn the branch manager in Honolulu. Called her, left a message, hopefully she will return my call. I would prefer not to go to my credit card company, but if it comes to it, I will certainly dispute it -- I've been with AMEX for 10+ years, I actually never disputed anything on my card, so I would be comfortable to bring it up with them, I just feel that if I am Gold member with Hertz, I should not be charged $100 w/o any explanation and then not get any answer from the service reps... just not the right way of conducting business, if you ask me.
