When I try to access my US T Mobile voice mail from China, I get a recording saying the number is not is service, which is not true---I accessed it as recently as 3 days ago while still in US. I seem to remember that there is more than one number you can use to access voice mail. Has anyone else had this problem, and do you have the alternative number?

You should be able to dial your own mobile number, in the +1xxxxx format, and then when you hear your voicemail greeting press * and you'll be asked for your PIN. That's how it's worked on every phone network I've had service with - I presume TMobile is the sme.

Thanks for asking. They seem to change the procedure every once in a while, and the number I stored in my phone doesn't seem to be current. Their website says:

I have the 805-MESSAGE number stored in my phone for voicemail and it's always worked in the US and elsewhere.

For the record, if you're out of the country and need to call T-mobile customer service, you can place a collect call to them at +1 505 998 3793. Calling this number from your T-mobile phone will be toll-free.
