California - Sacramento - What hotels are near the Sheraton? Any HHonors hotels nearby?

I have a conference in Sacramento in two weeks and the conference hotel is the Sheraton. I am Hilton Diamond and Hyatt Diamond and Marriott Silver and I strongly prefer to stay at a Hilton property. Since the Sheraton is the conference hotel, the rates is highly discounted, what hotels are near the Sheraton? Any inexpensive Hilton properties near the Sheraton (walking distance).

The Sheraton is downtown. The only HHonors property nearby is the Embassy Suites. The Hyatt is also downtown and is one of the nicest properties in Sacramento.

The Embassy Suites is nice especially for Sacramento, but it's about a 12 short-block hike to/from the Sheraton Grand. It's a few dollar cab ride, though, if you really want to do it.

It's also adjacent to Old Town Sacramento, where there's some fun stuff to do, and a nice restaurant (The Firehouse).

The Hyatt is also downtown and is one of the nicest properties in Sacramento.The Hyatt is in fact around the corner from the Sheraton - it would a much easier walk from there than from the ES.

The Governator was a long-term guest at the Hyatt when I was last there - I'm not sure if he still stays there when he's in Sacramento.

With the Legislature back in session, occupancy mid-week in downtown Sac is pretty high. Hyatt doesn't treat Diamonds all that great, with maybe an UG to a Capitol-view room, or a corner room (I've decided to stick with Starwood since I've been really lucky with suite UGs as a Platinum member from them). I'd suggest going for a corner room if possible as they are a little bigger. the Regency Club is pretty good - standard Regency Club fare. It is only a block away from the Sheraton. If you'll be in town for a while, maybe you could request a reciprocal status upgrade from Starwood......
