Planning a trip to MCO (3/7) in March and thought I would take advantage of flying out of HPN. I'm surprised to see the early morning flight is listed as an Airbus with a very high fare - later in the day prices come down. Is this a special flight (local college?) -I wasn't aware HPN was accepting planes the size of the AB.

Any comments on load factors out of HPN?

Thanks

HPN has been very successful for B6. The added Flights for winter mean less congestion at JFK, which is good for the overall route network as far as keeping on schedule.

There are some colleges in the area...of the top of my head, SUNY Purchase, NYMC, and SUNY New Paltz might give some traffic. I'm not sure when the spring breaks for the schools are, but a Sat morning flight would be a time when many students would leave if they have Fri classes (and actually attend).

Hell, SUNY Purchase is just south of the airport, the back entrance road goes right past the 34 threshold and is a great place for some spotting. (but I digress) For leaving, it all depends on finals and classes, as they all are over by a certain time, but different people have their last class or final of the semester at different times, that plus weather, recently, has held up departures from the campus and airport alike in recent months.

The class-cutting rate isn't THAT great thank-you-very-much, granted, in recent months I have found it increasingly harder to make 8:30 classes, and sleeping through them has become more commonplace. :D
