Probably the the cheapest places on Virgin Gorda are Fischer's Cove and the Wheelhouse, each of which is probably slightly under $100 per night. Of these, I think Fischer's cove is better, and actually pretty decent - I've heard that the Wheelhouse is a dump.

But there are a couple really beautiful places in Virgin Gorda that will run $125-175 a night except during the 2 weeks that just passed. These are the Nail Bay Resort, and the Guavaberry cottages on Spring Bay. I can strongly endorse Guavaberry based on past experience, and I've heard great things about Nail Bay as well.

thanks "D1andonlyDman" for your reply^
I'll look into your suggestions and let you know what happens.

Do you have any experience with getting to Virgin Gorda from USVI St Thomas-St John (as a UA flyer thats where I'd be arriving from)

Also..(sorry to go on:D) what are the restaurants like on and around these places?

Thanks again for your reply,

Bye:)

The way to get to Virgin Gorda from St. Thomas is via high speed ferry - it's about a 2 hour ferry ride. I don't know the current schedule. But the Ferry companies are named Speedy's and Smiths - there may be others. I'm not sure if there are direct ferries from St. John to Virgin Gorda. I know that ferries run between Virgin Gorda and Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas, and between Virgin Gorda and Road Town Tortola.

I've not been to Virgin Gorda in a few years, so I can't speak for the current restaurants in and around Spanish Town. Charlotte Amaile has all types of restaurants, ranging from McDonalds to a nice fancy French place called the 1829 House.

Here are links to the Ferry schedules:

Thank you so much D1andonlyDman for your input.
The ferry schedule works perfectly with the flight schedule and the Fischers cove looks great.
Thanks again ^

i think there is/was a ferry called the Bomba Charger.

the rates between summer and winter usually vary by a factor of 3. holidays are even more expensive.

for inexpensive in bvi look at cooper island.

tattikat2, Air Sunshine will take you from STT-VIJ. They do 3 flights a day, and at least 1 back. If you fly into SJU, they offer 6 or 7 flights a day SJU-VIJ, both ways.

now... restaurants.

How are they in Virgin Gorda. Well, they're there. However, my experience is limited to lunches at Little Dix (standard hotel fare), and at the Bitter End (better than standard).

Most of the time I cook myself, and we go drinking afterwards at the Rock Pub.

All the resorts on Virgin Gorda have great restaurants. Since the OP begin with the word "cheap" though, I am not sure you will find what you are looking for in the BVI. I guess you could grab a burger at Pussers...

Cheers,
