South - Traffic on I-85 heading towards CLT from Gastonia

I'll be heading down I-85 from Gastonia, NC to CLT. Looks like its about 20 miles. Can any locals give me an idea about traffic and travel times? I'll need to be at CLT for an 11am flight on a Tuesday morning (and return the rental car).

Also any tips for gas stations near CLT?
