I just checked for the possibility to redeem my Hertz #1 Points and saw that you can purchase 1 point for 0.10$ !
Now, 600 points for one rental / 60$ can be a good deal in my eyes for some locations.
Any traps that I dont see ? Sounds pretty decent to me !

I've purchased some back when Prestige rentals were 5,000 a week and I needed a few hundred points left to meet the requirement. Even if I purchased 5,000 for a week, it would be $500 while a week in a H2 or Escalade is usually well over $1,000.

The point purchase option is a great deal, particularly if you live in a high rental cost area, such as Manhattan (regularly $80-120/day). I think the "catch" is that you can't just outright purchase points, you can only purchase to top off points you have when you are ready to redeem an award. So once you redeem an award using the purchase option, and empty your ZE1 account, you'll need to somehow earn additional ZE1 points before you can use the purchase option again.
Again, I think this is how it works, but I could be wrong.

There is a minimum number of points you need in your account, but in theory, you could always over purchase the number of points you need, there is no restriction on what the points need to be used for, so you could always leave a credit of points.
