Has anyone seen a promo for January yet, as far as double points/double miles?
Best Western Rewards - promo for January?View Full Version : promo for January? kipper Dec 31, 08, 6:13 pm Has anyone seen a promo for January yet, as far as double points/double miles? sdsearch Jan 1, 09, 7:13 am Has anyone seen a promo for January yet, as far as double points/double miles? Yes (apparently points only this time, and either double, triple, or quadruple), but as confusing as ever: https://goldcrownclub.bestwestern.com/offers/seasonal.asp?ptype=standard Once again, I see no mention of what happens if you have 5 stay nights. Does it restart your cycle, or do you keep earning quadruple for 4 or more stay nights? Why oh why must Best Western always be silent on this point, promo after promo after promo? (I still haven't figured out the "triple miles for 2 stay nights" promo this fall. I got tripled for my first 4 stays, but had a 5th stay with no 6th stay, and voila, that one hasn't been either doubled or tripled to date!) kipper Jan 1, 09, 7:46 am Yes (apparently points only this time, and either double, triple, or quadruple), but as confusing as ever: https://goldcrownclub.bestwestern.com/offers/seasonal.asp?ptype=standard Once again, I see no mention of what happens if you have 5 stay nights. It won't let me register. BamaVol Jan 2, 09, 2:48 pm It won't let me register. Worked for me. I had a BW stay already this year, but I guess a 1 night stay wouldn't qualify even if I had registered before the stay. :td: kipper Jan 2, 09, 3:23 pm Worked for me. I had a BW stay already this year, but I guess a 1 night stay wouldn't qualify even if I had registered before the stay. :td: It gives me this message: We're sorry, but we are unable to register you for this Best Western promotion. If you are having difficulty registering, please review the other promotions available for registration on our seasonal promotion page under "Special Offers for Preferred Members". If still unable to register, please contact Customer Service. Dilemma Jan 7, 09, 12:33 am I had difficulty signing upfor the promo as well. I assume it is because I receive miles instead of points. Haldogin Jan 7, 09, 10:25 pm The promotion is only from January 1st to February 14th. T's and C's: If you stay 1 night, you get 10 points per dollar spent. If you stay 2 nights, consecutive or not, you get 10 points for night 2 and 10 points per dollar spent total for the two nights. If you stay 3 nights, consecutive or not, you get 10 points for night 3 and 20 points per dollar spent total for the three nights. Same goes for 4. It seems like a lot of retroactive point giving, but I guess that's the beauty of computers. Then you are no longer eligible for bonus points after 4 nights. I will know if I am mistaken soon as I'm in my 3rd night of at least a 7 night stay. kipper Jan 8, 09, 7:30 pm I was finally able to register. Since it's an AAA account, I had to register using the AAA promo link. It's the same promo though. sdsearch Jan 9, 09, 7:30 am I was finally able to register. Since it's an AAA account, I had to register using the AAA promo link. It's the same promo though. Thanks for the tip! I don't think I would have ever figured out how to register otherwise. So it told me I'm registered. But it doesn't show up (at all) in "Register for Special Offers" under My Account. This is the first offer I've seen in a couple years that doesn't show up there. (Half the time offers only show up there!) Having said all that, their confusion may have blown their chances for me. It took me so long to figure all this out, that one or two potential stays were routed to other chains. Now I don't know that I'll have reason to have 4 BW stays within the time period, and if not, it's not worth it (since I'm also more interested in miles). kipper Jan 10, 09, 7:31 pm Thanks for the tip! It took me a while to figure out that I had to register for it that way. It doesn't show up under the "Register for Special Offers" link for me either. |
