We're trying to use miles to fly to BKK. To improve our chances I was wondering which days are most/least travelled.

WestCoastFlyer Dec 7, 03, 5:45 pm While there may not be an exact answer, it would help to know - what airline, from what city, what month you plan to travel and do you have any status? Edited to add - Once you identify the airline, you might ask a moderator to move this thread to that airlines forum where you might find a better response. I am not sure that there is a specific pattern. You want flts which are chock full in economy but lighter in J (or if flying Biz class - then full in J and light in F). Look at availability to see if there is a pattern in the airline(s) of interest to you. The last pages of thread in MilesBuzz has a link to a Java tool built by Mathias that uses Sabre to extract fare availability info. jdflyvc10 Dec 7, 03, 6:29 pm Travel West Mon-Thurs Travel East Tues-Wed-Thurs And plan about 6 months out using UAL (hope they go out of biz soon) Thanks.... VC10 RustyC Dec 10, 03, 1:51 am Yeah, of the 2 U.S. lines flying to BKK, UA is the best hope, either 6+ months out or 3- weeks out. But BKK can get notoriously heavily booked. Would be nice, too, to fly up front on Star Alliance partners TG or SQ, but I don't know if they offer any deals. |
