The route map has been redone with a cleaner interface, so that it now more accurately incorporates Caribbean and Latin American destinations, as well as Cape Air destinations in New England. "Hub" cities have been capitalized (Oakland seems to have regained this distinction). The map can be zoomed in and out, and does so automatically when looking at a shorter route. It also features more display options: in addition to non-stop and connecting routes, it can show you specific routings between any two cities on the route map. At the bottom, it displays mileage, flight time, and TrueBlue points for any route, and clickable buttons let you book an itinerary or sign up for TrueBlue right from the map.
It seems to be a nice improvement, and well overdue as the route map has gotten more 'crowded.' I did catch at least one error so far: For some routes, even though the map shows them and they are indeed bookable, the mileage and TrueBlue points are labeled "N/A".

Nice looking map. The one thing is does not do is show you all the cities that they fly to from any given city.

To expound... select the origin city, and in the dropdown, choose "All Destinations." Also be sure to check the "Nonstop Flights Only" box.

Very nice! I am really like it lot. Its much easier where I can see for which routes is coming from. I knows PHX-JFK nonstop, am I correct? Also, what about another specific routes is still currently service from JFK? I'm sure B6 will gladly to get new interactive route map.
I knows BOS-PHX aren't on the list. I will guaranteeing where B6 will continues to need expanded more specific new routes in 2009.

They did a decent job with this new map. There's lots of space and its clean. Hope it means some great new routes later this year. I wonder if they'll reinstate some routes they cut due to fuel prices like IAD-SAN, IAD-LAS and BOS-SJC? UA's cut their seats in half on IAD-LAS from last year.
Speaking of new routes, anyone know why B6 hasn't set a date for FLL-Santo Domingo and Cancun? There was a press release but it only says May 2009. Normally, they give a specific date right? Are they not sure when the planes needed for this being delivered or coming off a lease?

TrueBlue points for any route,
This is a huge improvement. Finding the link for the calculator was always a PITA.

Yes, that's correct. It should be wait for finalization subject of DOT approval. It will be startup for FLL-SDQ/CUN sometimes in May 2009 but, there is no specific date to be set.
Also, I think others former routes will have been reinstates for IAD-SAN/LAS & BOS-SJC sometimes in the future. I'm sure B6 will expect to have resume IAD-SAN/LAS will operated only for 1 daily each R/T. It should need to boost up additional more capacity passengers for IAD-LAS will be operated 2x daily R/T.

I'll be the devils advocate and say the new map is not all dandy and perfect. For one thing, the cities in the Northeast are now very cluttered: White Plains is next to Boston or down near NYC? And where is Newburgh? Near Buffalo, LGA, or White Plains?
Additionally, the center of the map eerie empty.

If you just want to see where they fly from any given city, it's kind of a pain that it now takes four clicks, possibly five if you need to clear the existing map.

Actually, 2-3 clicks. It's a little more exercise for your fingers, and a hell of a lot less clicks than say trying to find a low fare on Airline X's site :D
Great route map; well done B6!

Yay! Buffalo is closer to where it actually is now ... on the old map they had it down in Ohio :-)
I do agree the Northeast is cluttered now ... especially if you have it show you all desintations from Orlando.
Overall I like it tho :-)

Actually, 2-3 clicks.I guess we have different definitions of what a click is. :p
1) Click Clear Map (if needed)
2) Click Origin city
3) Click Where to? drop-down
4) Click See All Destinations
5) Click on the Non-stop Flights Only box

5) Click on the Non-stop Flights Only box
That fifth click really isn't necessary unless someone is color-blind. If you skip it, the routes that come up will show nonstop routes in white and connecting routes in gold.

while i still like the new map..the old map does involve less clicks. Click on one destination and it links all the non-stop destinations from the origin

It would also be nice if they had a different color line designating if its a new route starting at a later date.

It looks like some enhancements have been made to the new route map:
Does not apply to us, but "New!" caption is added to the "Where We Jet" button on home page
The big one is that you no longer need to select from the dropdowns above - they've pretty much made all operations clickable from the map itself, with a little dialogue box telling you what to do next!

I was checking it out (MCI's still not on there unfortunately ), but I did check out the nearest airport, DEN, and it shows they fly DEN-SXM non-stop, which surprised me just a bit. That being said, I sure can't figure out when they fly it ... the printed schedule is only for March, no mention of it, and I tried clicking a few dates in various months in the installable PC schedule and can't find anything. Does the flight actually exist, or is it a glitch?

Agreed. DEN definately is pretty low on B6 totum pole when it comes to expansion. IF, and its a big if, DEN would get any expansion, it would either be to MCO/FLL or the West Coast before they would catch anything Carribean.

It looks like some enhancements have been made to the new route map.I have to confess: I have made some comments in the past disparaging JetBlue's route map for not working like most others, and I've commented how trying to do some basic things on it makes you feel retarded for the extra clicks, and check boxes and so on.
I didn't recognize that JetBlue's network is, duh, not a true hub/spoke system, and that the people who built the online map have to consider the you-can't-get-there-from-here limitations. My apologies. :o
