Las Vegas - harrah's total rewards query - can anyone advise ?

I'm travelling to Vegas for a week 29th March 09 - 5th April 09 and need to book 3 rooms.

I've been to LV before and have a total rewards card which is currently showing Paris at $760 for a standard room $1060 for a red superior room (compared to something like $1300 and £1800 without the reward card) - no idea why as I have very very limited play history and only the lowest card with zero points on it.

So the questions are:

is there any way I can get my friends a reward card number without having to go to a harrars casino to pick one up (tried registering for them on line and although it know's they are registered I can't get a reward number to log in fully and get the discount)

Can I book two rooms for the same period on 1 reward card number - I e-mailed harrars about th is previously and they said no, but does the computer know that ?, anyone done it ?

Any other way to get this cheap rate ?

thanks in advance for the usual excellent help from this website !

Call the hotel number on your rewards card. Chances are they will let you book two rooms at the discounted rate. They let us do that in September of this year. You can apply for the rewards card on-line but have to show ID and activate it in person.

You could also use Hotwire.com where there is a 5* center strip for $102 per night for your dates.

Hi janed9388,

The $102 property on Hotwire is probably the Wynn ( I had the same amenities listed when I got the Wynn for 2nd-7th Jan)
Also if you click on the price it gives a trip advisor rating of 1460+ reviews ( the only 5* hotel with those numbers is the Wynn)

PS The 4.5 star hotel on hotwire ( $129) could be Ceasars palace given the trip advisor number of comments ( 920+ on hotwire, 922 on tripadvisor.com)

what are the other 5*'s on the strip, venetion, belaggio, any others ?, when they say strip do they mean strip or could it be slightly off ? (and does that really matter!) so many questions.

Four Seasons, , Pallazzo, Trump (?). Yes, you could be slightly off as in Trump. I wouldn't call the Mirage 5*.

If it was the Trump on Hotwire it would not show a casino icon.
