Hertz - Transferring Paper Certificate - Free Week Rental

I have a question regarding transferability? I have a paper certificate for 1 week rental issued out of my #1 account.
Can I transfer the certificate to someone else ? I'm trying to gift the certificate to one of my friends who needs a car for a week ?

Also, is there a way to issue certificate directly to another person from the #1 account ?

I have a Hertz Free Weekly rental certificate in front of me and the Terms and Conditions on the back state "only transferable to a member's spouse or domestic partner."

If you are at the HLE/airport in person and go to the gold booth, they will usually let this go. Otherwise, rent the car with AAA rate code and present your AAA card. You can then add a second driver at 0 fee. Otherwise, coworkers are always free secondary drivers. Might be time to start a corporate "partnership" with the secondary driver.

I should have read this thread before just making a phone call and being shot down when trying to make a reservation using my #1 award points for my son. I told the agent that I am sure in the past I have given my award points to one of my sons and she insisted that never happened. Guess just a sign of old age on my part? laughing

Now, I know why I have over 25k award points and end up having 6-7k expire every year.
