American Express Membership Rewards - Can't Transfer MR Points to CO Online

Hey, first post on Amex forum. Just tried to transfer 30,000 MR points to CO. Tried three times, but got this each time:
We are unable to process your redemption at this time. For further assistance, please call Customer Service at 1-800-297-1300.
Anyone ever had this happen? I tried to call, but they're closed for Christmas (???). I'm kind of in a bind b/c I have a CO award on hold, and the hold expires tomorrow.

No. I did not know that was possible.
Just tried. It recognized my Amex (showed me the number of MR points I had), but I got:
User not eligible
What the heck?

It doesn't work from the CO side either, at least for me.

You tried both ways, and it doesn't work? Link must be broken.
In my experience, when it works, transfer is instant. If your hold is until tomorrow, you should be OK calling tomorrow.

benjamin, must be a bug in the system, you should be ok calling in tomorrow. I'm actually surprised they're actually not taking calls today.

In the end, my not-so-bright friend realized that his passport was expired, and he couldn't come home with me on the days I had the award. He had to buy a ticket for next week. I guess I'm off the hook! :p
Has anyone gotten this link to work of late?
