As I understand it, I can take the Starfly airport shuttle bus or the local bus 73 from LIN to central Milan, but I can't find information on how long the journeys are or how much the tickets would cost. Any advice or good links?
If I want to get to somewhere close to the Central station as quick as possible, I should take the Starfly bus, but if I want to get somewhere else using the metro, it could be wiser to take bus 73. Correct?
Thanks

Yes, the 73 costs 1 euro and ends at Piazza San Babila, red line1 metro . Depending on traffic takes about a half hour to the center of town.

Excellent link! I'm quoting some of the information here for future searches:
Star Fly Bus to Milan: Route: runs to Piazza Luigi di Savoia, alongside the Central Railway Station (20 mins). There is an intermediate stop at Lambrate railway station (10 mins). Cost: €4. Buy tickets on board.
Azienda Transporti Municipali (ATM) Bus#73 to Milan: Runs to Piazza San Babila metro station in the centre. €2.50/30 mins. Tickets cannot be bought on the bus and mustr be obtained beforehand from a newsagents or a metro station, however at the airport there are ticket machines in the bus shelters. Route: The bus has several stops on request along the way including alongside the Jolly Hotel President on Corso de Porta Vittoria.
(I'm travelling by myself for a holiday trip with hand luggage only, so I think I'll save the money a taxi would cost for something else.)
Many thanks to all of you!
