American Express Membership Rewards - Amex: if denied card, or reduced CL, or denied CL increase: must wait one year?

Friends say that in all of the above events, now AMEX says that you must wait one year to get new CL increase. Heard of that policy in recent times?

It's fairly common for credit card companies to have you wait a period of time before asking for a credit line increase. I mean, if you were just denied, something needs to change in your credit before they should even consider giving you a CLI.

I believe it is 6 months.
