I've been trying to find somewhere, a little bit off the Tourist Map, that has decent looking hotels, but has a bit of tourism to offer for those willing to get out and find it.
I've found myself looking at the Novotel Palembang (http://www.novotel.com/gb/hotel-3716-novotel-palembang/index.shtml) which looks splendid, but I'm unsure what there is to actually do once one gets to Palembang, and if I should waste my time.
Can someone who's been to Palembang provide me with some information and advise if it's a nice place for a few days of R&R?
As a side note, looking at ways to go from BNE-PLM it looks like I'm going to have about 7 hours stuck in CGK. Anyone have any advice as to what I can do when I'm in the airport? Is it worth getting out of CGK only to come back a few hours later?
