Las Vegas - Upscale Hotel Promos for Late April ?

Hi all,

Though I am a regular on the airline threads, I am a newbie here, a guy who enjoys 3 days of LV every 1 or 2 years with gambling in the low single Ks, not a prize customer to the casinos...

I am wondering about promos in the upscale hotels (Bellagio, Venetian, any other suggestion...) and the inclusion of perks if available. I have no interest in the dumps though I will take a new French GF downtown to show her Fremont Street, she's not been in the US these past 20 years.

One perk I'd be interested in is a pass to the Bellagio or Wynn buffet. I do not mind the 40 or 50 $ but it's the LINE I hate. Any way to get those ? Typically, I'll arrive a on wednesday and leave on a Saturday

Thanks.

It is a bit early to be looking for deals for April.

Targeted marketing offers right now tend to be for Jan-March. Most of the online deals for the upscale places end in early February pre-Valentines day.

A line pass to the buffet can be comped by a Host based on your gambling play, or a tip to the Concierge may do the trick. Never done this myself so YMMV, but a $20 to the concierge has allowed me front-of-VIP-line club passes a couple times before.

You can always buy a fully-refundable reservation now, so that you're at least guaranteed a place to sleep, then if/when you find a better deal at a casino that is acceptable to you, get your $$ back and take the cheaper rate.

Low 4's gambling at either Bellagio or Wynn should be more than enough to get buffet comped, so don't know why the line pass would be an issue.

I would recommend building up a play history at any casino you want perks for. Buffet line passes shouldn't be difficult to get from hosts even at low play levels as long as that history exists. Additionally, you can always ask the floor manager for line passes while you're playing.

With the way things are going nowadays, there really is not much of a wait, especially weekdays, in the buffet lines.

You may have a point... My last stay was in January. Is it really that bad ?

Yes it is, coupled with off season Vegas travel it is very slow. There may be a bit of a line at peak times but definitely not a long wait. Though I did recently had a wait of 20 minutes for a couple in front of me who had to eventually leave the line because they could not get their $25 buffet tab charged to their room .

Columbus day weekend, Saturday at Venetian, Grand Lux had no line. Sunday, Bellagio buffet at 5pm had a pretty long line, i'd say about 40mins-1 hour wait. I had a line pass so no biggie. But it is very slow. Palazzo tables on sat night were not very crowded. Hell I was getting drunk at the TI on friday night 11pm at $5 BJ CSM tables haha
