We are planning to take our three kids (one teen, one preteen, and a younger child) to Europe for their first time trip (we used to travel alot pre-kid). Considering Italy, France, Spain but open to others. Would LOVE to use up our huge number of hilton points to cut costs. Could you suggest nicest Hiltons, convenient for sight seeing, in Europe? Thank you!:

Welcome to posting, rolshan. Here information I've collected about top European Hilton properties.
London – Waldorf Hilton - the Art + Tech rooms are very cool with nontraditional art and lighting, plasma TV, and showers with 6 vertical shower heads in a translucent enclosure.
London – Trafalgar – W-esque in the heart of London
Hilton London Canary Wharf - a very pleasant surprise compared to the let-down of most London Hiltons
Conrad Mount Juliet, Williamstown, Ireland - one of the best Hiltons worldwide. particularly if you are staying in the main house.
Lyon Hilton – solid
Hilton Evian-les-Bains – beautiful lake views
Dresden Hilton
In the heart of the old town, staff goes out of its way to provide service. Some of the rooms overlook the cathedral, recently rebuilt for its 600th anniversary.
Convenient location, good lounge, modern rooms
Hilton Berlin.
Not only will you most likely get a room overlooking a marvelous cathedral, the rooms are fantastic, the beds super-comfortable, the lounge / piano bar cozy and inviting, and the hotel is right on top of a subway station. You can't beat the location for convenience to shopping, restaurants and nightlife
Cavalieri Hilton, Rome
Sorrento Hilton
Venice Hilton
Hilton Dubrovnik - location is great and everything is very new. lounge balcony has superb views and is a great place to have breakfast.
Budapest Hilton
Fantastic view overlooking the Danube and St Stephens cathedral..
Budapest Westend
Better Executive floor/lounge than Budapest Hilton as well as having free internet
Hilton Prague
which has one the best Hilton lounges in Europe
Hilton Warsaw
Bucharest Hilton
Copenhagen Airport Hilton - brand spanking new and stylish with Bang & Olufsen electronics
Hilton Istanbul – contemporary design
Conrad Cairo
Athens Hilton
With a family of 5, you'll be looking for two rooms. If you have a Hilton AMEX card, consider the AXON awards where you get 4 nights for 125K points.

Given your criteria, I'd put in a strong vote for the Venice Hilton - as it is quite nice and very convenient for sightseeing. The Rome property is exquisite, one of the finest in the chain, but it isn't esp. convenient for sightseeing.

From my recent experience, the following Hiltons are quite lovely:
- Munich
- Vienna
- Dresden
Enjoy!

My answers:
- Paris Arc de triomphe (Art Deco style)
- Barcelona Dialogal Mar (new)
- Cavalieri Rome (must go)
- Evian-les-Bains (beautiful views)
- Luxembourg (renovated rooms only)
- Antwerp (top location, nice city)
Avoid Brussels, Lyon, airport Hilton's (only Madrid is new and very nice but not convenient for visits).
Have a nice and safe trip

If that's the case, I recommend the Hilton Vienna Danube. Vienna is an amazing city, filled with history, museums and fantastic restaurants. Best pasrt? 15K points a night using PointStretcher dates through April. It's a bit off from the main city--10 minutes by tram after a five minute walk--but they have a scheduled shuttle that runs frequently and can drop all of you off at no charge. You can also do day trips to Bratislava or take a side trip to Budapest (also on the PointStretcher list) or Prague (which is not, but cheaper than usual this time of year).
Here's the list of other hotels available:

They can always do London or Paris later... if they have a passion for international travel, they'll get those anyway later. :)

I certainly would stay clear of UK properties if you are travelling with kids. They have a funny policy to not allow children in the lounge after breakfast. Their excuse is UK licensing law, but they don't even allow them if there is no alcohol present. As I said - it's an excuse.

I've never had any problem with Children in lounges for UK hiltons in the evening. This includes Paddington, Heathrow, Manchester Deansgate, Newcastle & Glasgow. Only problem I have ever had was at the Seattle Hilton.
