Korean Air Skypass - Q class to JFK

Its been a while since I have flowe KE so just wanted to ask a few question,

1. I am flying in Q class which i assume is a discounted class, can i earn FF on my NWA account or any other skyteam partner?

2. Can I upgrade this fare with my NWA points to business class?

3. How in KE from HKG to ICN and then to JFK. A few years back i flew to JFK with them and they offered some good snacks (pizza ice cream etc) is that still in effect? Also how is the meal service? Do you get menu's like on CX?

Check the appropriate airline's website. For NWA the answer is no (http://www.nwa.com/worldperks/earn/air_partner.shtml#korean) (neither RDM or EQM).

2. Can I upgrade this fare with my NWA points to business class?
No. There is a new SkyTeam upgrade program, but I doubt you can use it.

KE service is good, though the cabins are generally HOT (a Korean thing). No menus in coach, you get a choice of bibimbap and something else.

Mmmm... pizza ice cream. Sounds almost as good as kimchi ice cream.
