LH has done a big change to their Canada plane types during summer schedule: They are adding First class product to YYZ and YVR out of FRA using A346 while droping it on the YYC route. YUL will be served as usual in the summer time out of MUC also with First class using A333.

It is good time for us canadians to use e-vouchers to upgrade to FIRST on direct flights to FRA instead of routing our travel via USA to upgrade to FIRST.

Great News on YVR!

I'm very surprised at F being added to YVR and dropped to YYC. Or is the new plane config serving YYC very J heavy in comparison so they can get more J traffic than a mixed F/J/Y plane can handle?

It's about time they brought back F to YYZ! I hate transitting via DUS to get to YYZ..

I am surprised too. I thought YYC is doing good with First Class. However, summer time YVR has more tourist and business people with high spending power flying there to justify allocating FIRST to that route.

I would have thought as well that YYC is a good route for F- however, as someone noted above- they may want the higher capacity C aircraft for the oil trade on their way to Russia/stahn countries etc?
YVR for F to Asia is usually very busy- not sure to Europe as I think the only one offering F from YVR to Europe until now has been BA- and that has been a very easy flight to upgrade/redeem on for me.

FC to YVR was scheduled for April (or maybe March) 2009 sometime last summer. About 4 months, ago, the inventory was zero'd out for the entire season. Nice to see that it's back on (since I am holding award tickets!)

Always good to see F being added to North American West Coast flights. Makes the entire thing worth wile.

I think LH has expedited converting their airplane the A346, which will be used to YYZ and YVR, to 3 classes configurations which resulted in that change again.

I guess they must have initially decided to delay conversion of the 346s a few months ago and then had a change of heart.

It is time that they bring F-Class back to YYZ, I have been based in YYZ for 7 years before moving end of last year to Singapore. In the first years during my stay in YYZ in the good old time when a 747-400 was being used from FRA - YYZ I enjoyed a lot of operational upgrades very nice - with the A346 also possible but remember only 8 F-Class seats compared to the 16 on the Jumbo-jet - now i enjoy from time to time a F-Class flight from SIN - FRA;)

Availability of upgrades ex-YYZ look very good at the current time. Who knows about the future....
