American Express Membership Rewards - Another Annoying Platinum Lounge Access Question

Before you yell, I have read and searched all I can, but at this point I think I need more personal experience than official T&Cs. I've used my Platinum Card many times before at CO and AA lounges when I was flying on those airlines, but...

I recently booked a trip using some Continental OnePass points via Continental.com. The first leg of my trip is actually on Delta, but since Continental and Delta are partners, I was able to use OnePass points...

Thus, my itinerary and confirmation all come from CO, so I'm unsure as to whether I could print out my DL boarding pass and head to the Delta Crown Room? Will my boarding pass be Delta branded, or will it say CO on it, and thus I'd be denied access to the DL lounge and the CO lounge? Thanks!

It's a fair enough question, and one that should probably come up somewhat frequently as it relates to flying codeshares. For example, if you're ticketed on a CO flight that is operated by DL, will your Amex Plat get you into the President's Club, the Crown Room, or both? (or neither?)

I don't actually know the answer, but I'm sure someone here does...

In order to use a lounge you have to have a ticket issued by Delta to fly on Delta. From what I understand from your post you should be absolutely fine. Just to make sure your boarding pass on Delta is printed on a Delta stock. Just do a kiosk check in.

My understanding is that you have to have a ticket for travel on the metal of the carrier operating the flight, but that the ticket does not have to be on that carrier's stock. The OP will be on a DL flight but a CO ticket number. Still, that should allow access to a DL lounge.

Also, AA allows access based on the flight number, not the metal.

The name painted on the side of the plane dictates the lounge you have access to.

It's a great benefit from AX but I wish they'd relax the metal-specific rules. Tomorrow I'm on NW departing FLL and would like to get into the Prez Club in FLL but no luck it seems . . .

Just as a heads up, even though I am booked through CO and traveling on DL, my boarding pass printed on Delta stock and thus, I had no problem getting into the DL club at LAX. Thanks all for your help!
