Hilton HHonors - Hampton Inn Empire State Building-- Where are we??

Hi,

I just stayed at the new Hampton Inn-Empire State building. I knew where it was before I got there, but it is at least a block and a half away from the actual building.

So, the first morning, my wake up call comes and said "Good Morning, welcome to the Washington Square Hotel", Huh?

The second night, I call down at about 9:30pm for a 6:30am wake up call. At 10:40pm my phone rings and it said "Good Morning, welcome to the Washington Square Hotel". Huh, I had just falling sound asleep, so I was really confused. Called the front desk (mostly so I could ensure that my needed 6:30am wake up call really would come thru!). Rang a bunch of times and front desk answered with "we know it was a mistake, good bye".

This is truely a hotel with some confusion! (Ya, ya it is a new property, it SHOULD get better).

Did you invoke the 100% satisfaction guarantee?

HA!

I mean, really, is anyone really ever 100% satisfied with anything these days?

No, It never crossed my mind. Although at the time, I was not a happy camper at the wake up call an hour after I fell asleep.

PS: HHonors just sent me an email asking if I had enjoyed my stay. I sent them back an email with the above. I'll post if I ever get a response.

I was almost 100% satisfied with the HI-Gurnee, IL the past weekend until I check out. I was out of singles, and hope that my $5 bill would change into several singles and quarters in order to get on the bus. They told me their smallest bill they have is $20, and tell me I can walk across the 6 lanes road fill with ice/snow to the gas station. It is not their fault, but could be handled better.

Response from Assistant General Manager:

Good Morning Ms. LongingForORD,

I thank you for your information regarding our wake up call system. I was not aware we had any issues with the system. I have my Chief Engineer working with the wake call up provider to fix the issues. I am very sorry you had to endure these issues while staying with us. Your business is very important to us as are your comments as they will make our hotel a better place by being aware of the problems. Once again thank you for staying with us and your communicating your issues with our complaint line at Hilton Hotels.

This is 10 days after my stay, I really can't believe I am the only/first one to complain about this. Oh well!

But you did get the 6:30am wakeup call, right?

Yes, I did get the originally requested wake up call.

Well, I guess I'd be annoyed about the accidental call, but I don't really think there is anything that would be strong enough to invoke the satisfaction guarantee. After complaining about a MISSED wake up call I did get a refund of one night without asking for it once.
