know this isnt BA related (well, slightly) but need some help from experts.
colleague of mine (who lives in Miami) is flying his daughter to Miami from the UK to surprise his wife (she thinks the daughter wont be here for x-mas but only coming in Jan).
there was an accident on the way to LHR and she missed her flight to MIA. BA have put her on a flight to JFK (BA 113) which is scheduled to land late at 19.03. He's booked her a connection to Fort Lauderdale with JetBlue (flight 47) at 19.25. BA 113 was meant to land at 6.30 and through a contact at BA (he knows the Regional Director for Florida and Carribean), they were going to have special services escort her through immigration, get her bag and rush her to JetBlue terminal. clearly a challenge (and maybe an impossible challenge even if the flight was on time) but impossible with the delay.
however, believe there were weather delays in the NYC area today and if the JetBlue flight was delayed, there might be hope.
can anyone help with tracking how the plane that is due to operate as JetBlue 47 from JFK to Fort Lauderdale tonight is doing, i.e. how likely there will be delays (or no delay)?
any help appreciated.
