I wonder if there will be a big increase in frequencies? Pittsburgh, Richmond, Charlotte and Raleigh could all support another JFK flight and possibly an additional Boston flight? Also, how about some Chicago O'Hare expansion. Orlando and Fort Lauderdale would be no brainers.

I highly doubt it. They are keeping frequencies/capacity down in an effort to drive up fares and yields. There is no indication yet that the industry actually needs more inventory in the system. More cuts may still happen.
Why does JetBlue work this way?
Gives you a schedule that currently goes 4 months out, then suddenly extends it to 9 months, never being consistent with either the announcements, nor the extensions?

The schedule has actually already been released. Some interesting notes:
-BOS-SJC, IAD-BUR/LAS/SAN do not return. BOS-SFO does return, of course.
-JFK-PDX/SMF return as well, but not until June I believe.
-LGB will have 31 daily flights this summer. The summer schedule mirrors the winter schedule except BOS is 3x.
-JFK-BOS will be up to 10x compared to 9x last summer and 8x this winter. IAD-BOS will be up to 7x compared to 6x last summer and 5x this winter.
-JFK-SFO will go up to 2x, compared to 3x last summer and 1x this winter. For comparison, JFK-OAK will be 3x.
-JFK-PHX will lose a frequency and go down to 1x.
-BOS-PIT will return to 2x.
-JFK-RDU goes down to 3x from 4x last summer.
-ROC-MCO goes year-round.
-JFK-STI/SDQ go to a whopping 5x daily.
-SJU-SDQ will be at 2x.
-MCO-SJU will be at 5x, compared to 3x last summer. (Note AA pulled out of this market.)

Forgot to add:
-BOS-SJU officially goes year-round.

I am disappointed. I wanted to use my rewards for flight at end of Aug and there is no availability for when I want. The outgoing flight only has the evening available and the return flight has nothing available at any time.
I signed up for Jet Blue Amex in the hopes of being able to redeem for flight but now am sorry that I paid the extra $45 yearly fee for this.

JetBlue doesn't release reward seats right at the time of schedule extension. They also don't necessarily release cheap seats at the time of schedule extension. All it means is that the schedule is extended.

sbm12 is correct. We do things a little backwards at JetBlue. The higher fare buckets seem to be released first then the lower buckets get released a few weeks later.

And award flights may become available at a later time for that particular date, just keep checking.
Thats what happened to me with the Saturday OAK-JFK availability which wasn't showing at all for a while but all of the sudden appeared for the exact flight I wanted. But had I known that I would dislike SF so much, I would have happily chosen the day before flight which was available longer.

It isn't backwards at all. Most airlines with more advanced revenue management models are operating that way now. It is certainly different than the "good ol' days" but hardly backwards.

The schedule has actually already been released. Some interesting notes:
-JFK-RDU goes down to 3x from 4x last summer.
Quite unfortunate, however, it does look like it goes from 3x E90 to 1x E90, 2x A320. Here's hoping for either 1x MCO or 1+ FLL...

JFK-RDU will have the same amount of seats, just less frequency.
BTW, BOS-RDU goes 2x with the E190 starting 5/1. Same thing with CLT. Barger had been hinting at this...

I noticed the seat/frequency difference and thought it was fantastic. CLT may have more flights, but the number of seats are the same. I guess they have a good thing with the flights at RDU.. plus, with more options out of RDU than CLT.. more frequency at CLT is probably warranted....
Didn't know about the BOS fact but that's good.. very happy to hear about that..
I just wonder how well FLL is doing and if the long ago rumored MCO flight will occur (to connect to their new non-North American flights)..

ORD is also getting a second daily flight as well. The original flight, in both directions is always packed and many wrote in asking for a second daily CLT flight as well.

That's great. But, the one thing I can't seem to understand is why the schedule makes it impossible to do a day trip BOS-ORD (ORD-BOS is feasible) and also CLT-BOS (BOS-CLT is feasible). A day trip PIT-BOS is possible but short/a little tight (BOS-PIT works). BOS-BUF in both directions is obviously fine for a day trip.

The problem with ORD is gate space and utilization. We only have the 1 gate at ORD and it is almost being used to the max. We have to fit any new flight into ORD into the current schedule. The old routing use to be BOS-ORD-JFK and that allowed for the early flight BOS-ORD. Now the aircraft does JFK-ORD-JFK and that doesn't allow space for that early BOS departure any more. Talking with the ORD station manager recently, they are being kept aware of the gate situation between DL and NW. If NW moves over to the L concourse then we could prolly steal an additional gate or 2. If DL moves over to the E concourse then we might move to L to get the additional gate. So far no decision has been made on what those 2 are doing. Our hat is in the ring for an additional gate or 2 and we won't know more until those 2 decide what they are going to do.
