Another CX newby question... and I ran a search first!
In running a search, I noticed here (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=827851)and here (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=786540)there were comments about a Winter versus Summer schedule for JNB-HKG. (I assume they are talking about N.H. seasons). The second thread claims F is only offered part of the year. The first thread has conflicting info, saying F may be offered in the summer as a 346 - problem is that 346 is going 2-class if my research is correct.
On the CX website, the winter schedule shows "EQV" through March 29, which appears to be consistently a 744 variant. After March 29, 2009 it goes to a 34D Mon, Thur, Sat and an "EQV" 744 variant the other days of the week.
Is this new for 2009, to offer an F product on JNB-HKG over the summer? Or, is the "EQV" 744 just replacing the 346 for partial-F availability that has always existed? How reliable does everyone think this will be, in terms of actually staying an F product and not getting shuffled around sometime between now and next July or August into exclusively a 2-class route?
Thanks.
