Europe - Kiev, Ukraine via Paris

Hello all -

Flying from IAD to KPB while spending X-mas in Paris on a 17+H layover. Any suggestions on the Kiev end? Specifically, any sights that must not be missed? Indeed, any suggestions on a 4 nighter in Kiev would be great (a hockey game?). We only have one thing "planned," a day tour to Chernobyl and I'll report back on that sometime in the New Year (however, if someone knows of a "good" company for this tour, please do respond since nothing is in stone).

I searched for "Kiev" but the results were almost 100% complaints about airlines. I guess I'll revise my search strategy - cheers
