I bid on a 5 star hotel on priceline and I won the Trump (wanted the palazzo, venetian). I was pretty upset at myself because I really didnt want this hotel but I knew that it could happen. So now Im set for just a quick one night stay (arriving friday night and leaving saturday night). I also have a reservation at the MGM Grand for the same night for $59. Im debating if I should just suck up the loss at the Trump and stay at the MGM. Im going to vegas to gamble and enjoy having a casino downstairs and a big selection of bars and restaurants. The Trump does not really offer any of these items and I have read (tripadvisor) that this hotel is off-strip. Does anyone have any details about this hotel? Is the Trump that far of a walk to any casino? Please provide any comments and suggestions. Thanks

It's about a block off the strip, but that's a Vegas block, so plan accordingly. I was @ the Palazzo in October & could see it quite clearly from my room (42nd floor facing Treasure Island). Trump is essentially behind & slightly north of Treasure Island or 2 Vegas blocks across from the Wynn. I know this map http://www.vegas.com/lounge/map.html makes it appear Trump is right on LV Blvd, but it isn't. Your closest casino choices would be TI, Wynn, or the Palazzo, depending on how far you wanted to walk.
