Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Confused about HKG-BKK options in First

New to the CX forum. Was doing tons of research on a *A RTW in F but it just came out that TG is cancelling their JNB//BKK which eliminates any F options for *A from South Africa to all of S.E. Asia. So, making the move to OW because CX has a JNB-HKG F class offering (questions there for another thread and another time). Anyway, I'm now starting my research from scratch and have a question...

I'm getting mixed info on the CX website about a HKG-BKK leg for next July. When I use the flight "schedule" lookup (not booking) I see a 74A for some of the CX751 flights, depending upon the day of the week (let's use Sat. July 25th for example).

Next, I go to do a dummy o/w booking for HKG-BKK on July 25th and it lists at 744, rather than a 74A. Not a huge deal, at least still 3-class, right? But no, having input "First" at the dummy booking, only a "Business" selection can be made. Okay, I saw the thread about some 3-class operating as two class, which is not what I was hoping for.

But wait... I click on "Continue" to continue the dummy booking and the next page still shows 744 but under "Class" it is listed as "First (F)."

So...
1. Is there actually 3-class service on HKG-BKK?
2. If not, and it is offered as a 2-class service on 3-class plane, would there be someway to get an F seat because it is part of an AONEx (and not having any status in OW)? The problem is that the leg would book into D, but could they see that it should be an A bucket?
3. Following up on #2, above, any chance of first-class lounge access if operated as a 2-class?

Thanks

CX does not list its internal configuration on its website. CX751 is a 74A on 25JUL.

Yes of course.

1. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=895469

2. I heard that was done before.

3. I don't know, perhaps not, but it does not hurt asking.
