I just started using this, seems like a great idea. Ive been thinking of writing a similar twitter-integrated app to allow FTers at airports to more easily communicate

This seems very cool. I just signed up for Twitter, mainly to follow some microbreweries. The #boarding thing is awesome. It would be nice if there was a way to use it to meet up with people to get into some lounges :D

I've used the #boarding tag just for grins. I haven't met anyone through it yet, but it could be an interesting way to try to meet strangers, particulary if you're on a long layover or the airport is shut down due to weather or other problems.

Can someone explain the uses of this? To know if there are other of the 5MM twitter users at the same airport? Just for kicks and giggles? ?

you need to go to ba97.com for this and sign in with your FT handle. you will then find exactly what you want!

To the nay-sayers: I just checked my home airport and found someone whom, were I searching and at the airport (I'm neither), I'd want to meet on the chance that she isn't seeing anyone either. If you travel a lot and aren't in a relationship, I'd say this has potential. :)
