I've had some that have gone unused for a long time (formerly GP points before conversion to GPP). They are still there now. Are they subject to expiration?

They expire if the account is inactive. And the account is inactive if there were not activity for 2 years.

yep - Lost my 2500 points earned in 2005 in 2007. :(
