Hello everyone.
A friend of mine is soon to be staying at this property. Has anyone been here or seen it recently? I would really appreciate any commentary and advice, especially in comparison to the Intercontinental property on Cozumel.
Cheers,
Steven

just got back from Wyndham cozumel. As an all inclusive I got a great price, but the food sucked bad. I'm not sure if the food is any better at the Aura section (the resort is four sections, I believe).
However, Aura is beautiful. Well appointed rooms, great location. The beach is kind of rocky, but water is clear and if your friend goes snorkeling (free snorkeling gear in the hut between aura and regular resort) he'll see plenty of fish.

Thanks for the input... I'm hoping the food isn't too terrible on the Aura side of the resort. Out of curiosity, did you actually look at any of the rooms? I have a 3rd floor suite with private pool and solarium (whatever that is) and am curious how it looked. Also, how far/annoying is it to get into town for dinner on a nightly basis if the food is that terrible?
Thanks again for the reply...

Yes, I was inside of the rooms. they are really nice.
It is a $13 cab ride into town if you want to eat elsewhere.
If you go to chankanaab park, there is a restaurant there (like a big covered pavilion) and they serve fish fajitas. very yummy!
have fun :)
Just returned from 4 days at Aura, food was good, rooms very nice and unique. hope your friend has fun or had fun.

I'm sure he can tell the story as he's posted in this thread - but he seemed to be enjoying it until his trip was unexpectedly cut short. The good news is he plans to go back to finish the vacation and wants to return to this property, so I guess that's certainly a sign of his opinion!
