Hi,
I have a question. I hope all experts out there can help me.
I am travelling from Toronto to Las Vegas and renting a car in Vegas. In Canada we need not buy any supplement insurance as it is included in a rate. I want to know do i need to buy this Supplement insurance in U.S and what difference does it makes?

If you don't have your own car insurance that covers injury to third parties and/or their property, I would say yes. It's a (relatively) small price (I think $11-12 a day) for peace of mind.

AFAIK, Hertz will give you a basic secondary (except in certain states where it is primary) liability insurance that just meets state mininum without anything extra. Otherwise, it is illegal to even rent the car, supposedly. LIS extends the coverage amounts as well as making it a primary one.
Hertz.com will have all the relevant information. Look for it under "Researvation" -> "Qualifications & Requirements".
I looked under Qualifications & Requirements, then under Insurance, and it says:
Public Liability Coverage Limits -
USD 100,000.00 - Medical per Person
USD 300,000.00 - Medical per Accident
USD 50,000.00 - Property Damage per Accident
Does that mean insurance is already covered in the rate?
