LIH Prem Dec 2, 08, 7:09 pm Have they figured out how to cripple them yet? :) -David ScottC Dec 2, 08, 7:15 pm Have they figured out how to cripple them yet? :) -David Oh yeah. The Touch Pro has very limited memory, locked GPS and so much bloatware that it's almost impossible to use. The same phone from Sprint has more memory, unlocked GPS and almost no bloat. Only Verizon could take a great phone, and make it worthless. MileageAddict Dec 2, 08, 8:55 pm The saga, htc pro, samsung omnia with wifi although they don't advertise the omnia as having it. Received my Samsung Saga tonight. Now I need to play with it and figure out how it works. :) airphone Dec 6, 08, 12:08 am Its disconcerting that verizon does not advertise that the two new samsung phones have wifi. Condition One Dec 6, 08, 12:18 am Will the Omnia work overseas? RobertS975 Feb 4, 09, 2:56 pm Received my Samsung Saga tonight. Now I need to play with it and figure out how it works. :) Since the Storm seems to be a bust, at least not ready for prime time, I was wondering what the story is with the Samsung Saga now that folks have been playing with it for two months or more. Anyone use it overseas as yet? RobertS975 Feb 8, 09, 11:50 am A basic question... can a wifi enabled cell phone like the Samsung Saga be used to Skype? airphone Feb 14, 09, 10:16 am Verizon users will be able to choose 5, 10 numbers and call them unlimited for free Basically its adding the feature alltel used to have. RobertS975 Feb 16, 09, 9:05 am I have not been able to see a Samsung Saga at any of the local (MA) Verizon outlets. I have asked for some points of clarification with regard to the usefulness of the wi-fi feature... I assume that this means the phone's browser (Opera, I believe) will be able to use the web wherever there is a open wifi signal, correct? Will it be able to use services like Skype? Anyone playing with a Samsung Saga out there? It seems to be one of the most useful international solutions offered by Verizon at this point. gfunkdave Feb 16, 09, 10:38 am Verizon users will be able to choose 5, 10 numbers and call them unlimited for free Basically its adding the feature alltel used to have. And that T-mobile does have. |
