Travel Technology - VZW wireless broadband in the US VI?

I'm headed down to St John over the holidays and although I had planned on NOT working, it looks like I'm going to have to.

Last time I was down there, I found that my Tmobile BB worked, and also I found at least one place on St John that had free WIFI, but I am curious as to whether or not my Verizon broadband card will work. I looked on VZWs website and, as usual, I can't find anything about this.

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with using a VZW wireless broadband card on St John?

Thanks!

My VZW aircard worked in the USVI but in "roaming" mode. That means international roaming rates - aka BIG BUCKS, and at 1x rates (no Broadband). I pulled down several email attachments and paid ~$10 but it was slow (spoiled by Broadband).

On my next trip I just paid (err, I mean my company paid) the $15 per day hotel wifi rate.

I think Sprint is the only CDMA carrier there, so you will be roamoing on their network. The local telco, Virgin Islands Wireless (Innovative Communications) is still TDMA.

FWIW - My VZW Blackberry worked fine on all three islands but I was careful opening attachements or browsing on it.
