Asiana Club - Does anyone ever play the in-flight Poker tournament?

Flew OZ202 in F the other day and kept checking to see if anyone was playing the poker tournament game. Never saw another player. Was thinking that the game could be an awesome way to kill some time and have some fun competing with funny money. Wish UA offered this, maybe would be popular on flights to LAS....

On the in flight entertainment system, under games. It's multiple player, you get $2000 and play against other players on the plane. Normal hold-em rules, 10 players to a table, 30 table capacity IIRC. There's even a leader board with scrolling results on the bottom of the screen. I was so excited, was hoping to have 10 hours of hold em action but not another person joined -- checked probably 15x during flight.

You mentioned you flew F, was this option only offered in F? I can't imagine no other pax would want to play in even a half full aircraft.

Google'd this, and some Y passengers commented on this product. Looked awesome, I suppose it would have been more popular on a daylight flight.

I fly OZ quite often and I didn't know it was there. So maybe not many know about it.

The games don't seem to be the same on every flight. I played Kasparov's chess game LAX-ICN, but it wasn't available ICN-SEA. This was in C.

I'll look out for it on OZ602 & OZ723.

Given the extreme length of the OZ602 trip SYD-ICN, any diversions are very welcome!

Played it on JFK-ICN a month ago. One other player during the whole flight. We played for a good 5 hours, but until the other person dozed off.

It would be a whole lot more interesting, if instead of funny money, it was Asiana club miles we were playing for! ;)

I usually check whether anybody's interested, but I've never seen another player. Will have to remember to check more frequently :p

What an awesome way to start a DO in Seoul!

I played a few poker hands on the OZ entertainment system.
It seemed to be very simple - you win or lose.
There were no other people playing, that I noticed.

The AVOD wasn't working on OZ602 (the Interactive channel and its movies) but the non-OD movies had six choices flying into ICN.

Good food, great attentive service by the FAs. Good angled flat seats but limited seat pitch. ICN J lounge is a library theme. It happens to be quiet, too!

Like any place with Korreans, the internet cafe section is packed. ;)

I am enjoying my first trip via ICN... just hoping we will see the wizards work their AVOD magic on OZ.
