I am seeing a really good deal from JFK <-> KIX on Asiana and I had a couple questions:

(1) If I call asiana, can I make it so that I can spend a couple days in korea on the return side? If so, can I do so for no extra charge or will there be a fee?

(2) will the fare go up once they switch planes from the 747 to 777?

(3) Asiana is a pretty good airline right?

here's the fare info:

If you want stopover at ICN, you cannot use the fare that you found.
I think that the fare that you found is the special fare with the condition of no-stopover.
So, fare will be increased.

No

It may depend on personal experiecne. Asisna is a pretty good for me. For your info, Asiana is one of 5* airlines (http://www.airlinequality.com/StarRanking/5star.htm)

I checked the rule of fare. First one is right. You can only stopover at OZ gateway cities in US.

The second one may be the codition of K-class. K-class is more expensive than v-class, which you found.
