I am new just posting to see if this fare is even upgradeable and if so can I purchase an upgrade coupon from someone somewhere for my HKG to YYZ portion for a reasonable price? Thanks

The Economy subclasses which are upgradable with Asiamiles are Y, B, H and K. K should be the cheapest Economy fare that is upgradable with Asiamiles. CX does not offer upgrade coupons and you can only redeem 45,000 Asiamiles for a one-way upgrade or 80,000 Asiamiles for a roundtrip upgrade.
Unfortunately, I think your current L class ticket is not upgradable by using Asiamiles.

Besides, you can't 'purchase' an upgrade coupon from someone. One may only use one's miles to upgrade CX flights, and for a YYZ-SIN return ticket, you need something like 80,000 asiamiles points! Doubt it will be a 'reasonable' price !
