Have you checked into the equivalent of the Better Business Bureau in Australia? Have you checked to see if they are a registered business with the state/province where they do business?
Anyone with a few hundred dollars can set up a website. It is commendable that you are asking for feedback. But nothing substitutes for personal legwork to find out answers to some questions like these.
