Korean Air Skypass - MNL-ICN-NRT: experiences?
Hi all!
After doing the search, I know now that on my flights KE624 and KE1 I'll have the old style C-class. What I'd like to know now, what can I expect on these short flights? How's the service, food and possibility to sleep (on KE624)? Any first hand experiences are very welcome, thanks!

I've flown ICN-MNL and back many times and I've done ICN-NRT too with both old C seats and new.
The old seats are comfortable they are just not lie flat. There is no difference in the service and food between aircraft with old seats and new ones. The IFE is nothing to write home about but if you don't have anything else to do it will pass the time.
Service on KE is very good, food is not bad. Better than NW which is my primary trans-pac carrier.
The MNL-NRT isn't actually that short of a flight. You get a full service and still have plenty of time for a nice nap. The ICN-NRT is short but they still get a decent service in. I've yet to be in the business class cabin when it was even 30% full on the ICN-MNL legs, the flight attendants are easily able to take care of everyone.
Any other questions feel free to PM me... I think you'll be happy overall. I know you're not getting the cream of the crop newly configured aircraft but KE is by far my favorite Skyteam carrier. BTW, if you are able to switch out your ICN-NRT flight, several of them have the new seats, this is one of the few without.

Thanks for your insight, I guess with MNL-NRT isn't actually that short of a flightyou mean MNL-ICN... Unfortunately, I can't change my INC-NRT flight due to my schedule, so it's old but comfy seats then.

If your destination is Tokyo and you are not carrying a lot of luggage, I would also look into the possibility of taking the express train from ICN to Gimpo then flying GMP-HND instead of ICN-NRT.

I've flown ICN-MNL and back many times and I've done ICN-NRT too with both old C seats and new.....Hi, dvs7310, may I rely on your expertise regarding the following:
I'll be flying the following KE flights in the spring of 2009...
KE 018 LAX-ICN 1230 1730+1
KE 623 ICN-MNL 2000 2250
KE 624 MNL-ICN 0020 0500
I haven't flown on KE in about 15 years. That being said, I have the following questions:
I'll be in Business on all sectors and wanted to know if the Bibimbap choice is served on KE623 ICN-MNL. I know it's served on KE18 LAX-ICN, but I would prefer to try it ex-KOREA. If not, then for sure I'll try it on KE18. (NOTE: ICN → USA flight has not yet been finalized & there is a good chance it won't be on KE, so that's why I'm not including it.)
What is the meal service on KE624 MNL-ICN, if any? Is it more towards the lines of a late night snack right after take-off or a pre-arrival breakfast?
Thanks for your time.
