Is it 24 hours a day? I saw a site that said it runs only 20 hrs a day.

According to ATL's website the APM operates 20 hrs per day.

This would make sense since take offs and landings are not happening all 24 hrs ea. day.

yep --- does not run 24 hours ....... even this busy airport is dead in the middle of the night
