BiziBB Nov 21, 08, 1:22 am Which airline frequant flyer award you points for flying on Etihad other than Etihad FFP ? Have you visited Etihad's FFP website, Etihad Guest (http://www.etihadairways.com/sites/Etihad/global/en/guestrecognition/visitor/Pages/GRP_HomePage.aspx)? Partners: (http://www.etihadairways.com/sites/etihad/global/en/guestrecognition/visitor/etihadguest/pages/ourpartners.aspx) Brussels Airlines (http://www.etihadairways.com/sites/etihad/global/en/guestrecognition/visitor/etihadguest/partnerdetails/pages/BrusselsAirlines.aspx) Jet Airways (http://www.etihadairways.com/sites/etihad/global/en/guestrecognition/visitor/etihadguest/PartnerDetails/Pages/JetAirways.aspx) Oman Air (http://www.etihadairways.com/sites/etihad/global/en/guestrecognition/visitor/etihadguest/PartnerDetails/Pages/OmanAir.aspx) (This is all on the Etihad website inside Etihad Guest - no mystery, very clearly signnposted and only a second's searching in google if you prefer going directly ). However, in these links you will note it is for earning miles on those airlines into the Etihad Guest FFP. While these airlines may reciprocate, I'll leave it to you to look at their respective sites. No, you will not be able to redeem on LH or other StarAlliance airlines, AFAIK. I googled and found this one reference to EY's ONLY partner airline (according to that source) but as shown above, there are new partners on EY's site. Etihad Airways Etihad Guest (http://www.webflyer.com/programs/ratings_and_reviews/program.php?key=EY01) (Webflyer FFP ratings & reviews) Etihad currently partners with one airline, Brussels Airlines, where Etihad Guest members can earn and redeem on Brussels Airlines' flights throughout the world. Earnings start at 250 miles for one-way flights between destinations throughout most of Europe and an award ticket can be claimed starting at 15,000 miles. Etihad does not belong to a worldwide airline alliance. Other partnerships include Europcar and Hertz offering 500 miles per qualifying rental and 1,000 miles per Prestige Collection rental with Hertz. National and Alamo offer between 500 and 750 miles per rental, depending on the member's Etihad Guest elite status. EY won FFP of the Year 2008 at the Freddies - but nobody on FlyerTalk cares as there is not a *A/OW connection at present. If you use the search function at the top right end of this forum you might find some old news on these partnerships (if you are interested). LH/LX Nov 21, 08, 1:27 pm Have you visited Etihad's FFP website Sorry for misunderstanding. I want the opposite of what you mentioned. I mean here which airlines FFP gives you points for flying on EY? Phil the Flyer Nov 27, 08, 7:03 am Just received by e-mail the Inaugural Edition of the Etihad Guest Reward Newsletter. Even if you only have a few thousand miles to burn (fortunately I have considerably more!) there's some interesting stuff available. Alternatively there's a Miles + Cash option. I just noticed it, too. Will set up a unique thread on it. Did you see anything worthwhile? I hope that anyone like one of our LHR FTers, can let EY know through its research panels, how much we would appreciate more mileage earn/burn partners. Alternatively, link deeper with existing partners, so there is at least one meaningful partner in each region EY serves. :) Did the OP bother with the three partners listed above - or do they not suit your needs? Ideally, Etihad would emulate GF's old practice and QR's current practice - and do something with a few OW or *A carriers - preferably FFPS liked by FTers! For me, BMI would be great as there is no Aussie partner, but it would work well in combination with Virgin Blue plus the Alliance partners NZ & SQ. |
