Central America - san ramon Costa Rica

I need info about this area.

I am travelling to San Ramon and close environs for an NGO project.

What is the terrain around San Ramon like?

Is it hilly with narrow roads.

The reason I ask this question is that my travelling companion has a morbid fear of heights. One of his symptoms is a strong fear of winding narrow roads which bring about panic attacks.

I would appreciate info from a fellow traveller who has been there.

The road from the airport to San Ramon will go from 4 to 3 to 2 to 3 to 2 lanes in several up/down areas, but it is fairly wide albeit without much of a shoulder. From San Ramon into the surrounding area you will find narrow roads in hilly terrain, that has been known to cause flatlanders some discomfort. It all depends how far off of CA-1 you will be going, they usually get narrower further away from town and the main highway.
