Asia - Best Places to Buy Tea/Tea Accessories

Not sure if this is the best place for this post (given the number of different locations), but here goes:

I'm off on a quick Asian trip next week that will take me to HKG, SIN, KUL, BKK, and NRT. I would like to purchase a nice tea pot, tea cups, and some accessories (bamboo mat, tray, etc.) for serving tea. I will have at least 24 hours in each location except for NRT, and have previously visited each so am somewhat familiar with getting around.

I've seen tea sets available at Yue Hwa in Hong Kong (and I assume Singapore), and I've visited the Lock Cha Tea Shop in Hong Kong as well. Beyond that, I've purchased a tea set from Tenmoku Pottery in Kuala Lumpur (at the City Market).

Where else should I be looking for good value, unique design, foodsafe tea serving items?

All told, I'm looking for:
Teacups
Teapots
Trays (Lacquer w/ Wood Veneer - similar to these - http://www.teavana.com/Tea-Products/Teawares-Accessories/Lacquer-Ware-and-Trays/)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Sean

I presume you're looking for Chinese-style tea? There are tons of shops in Singapore, especially (obviously) around Chinatown. Tea Chapter on Neil Rd and Time of Tea on the 2nd floor of Lucky Plaza are both good; they primarily sell tea itself, but they also have a wide range of tea accessories.

Thanks, jpatokal, and yes, I'm primarily looking for Chinese tea (though for any tea accessories) - I appreciate your recommendations!

Does anyone know of good places to check out in KL or in Bangkok?

Although I don't have first-hand knowledge to recommend you any place to shop, I did stumble upon this blog (http://teamasters.blogspot.com/2005/07/tea-masters-blog-selection.html#comments/) while searching for another topic this morning. The info from this self-claimed tea master might give you some ideas what to shop for.

I like the tea room adjacent to the tea museum (http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/ce/Museum/Arts/english/tea/intro/eintro.html) next to the Conrad Hong Kong. Take the time to enjoy a cup of tea there. I enjoy watching the process of it being prepared for me.

On a side note, looking online for a place in Selangor that I've been before - The Teapot Cafe, which seems not to have an online presence other than reviews - I stumbled across something quite amusing

A Malaysian court on Monday jailed a woman follower of a bizarre cult centered around a giant tea pot for declaring herself an apostate while she was still a Muslim, news agency Bernama said.
