Effective 1st December OZ will charge less miles for upgrades on *A carriers. The reduction is between 2000 and 9000 miles per one way flight.

It says that the ticket must be purchased through Asiana. I hope this means the upgrade must be purchased through them, not the actual ticket.
In any case, a move in the right direction from Asiana. Made the redemption levels a bit less ridiculous.
